Shift838 IDE controller assembled and tested with clock chip

Product Details

NEW production IDE controller assembled and tested.

Note: IDE Card only works in ROMPAGE mode with the Myarc Geneve 9640 as it was originally designed. Geneve owners cannot at the present time use the IDE to boot from with MDOS 6.50 or access the IDE drives natively from MDOS.

TI-99/4A owners can use this card for both hard disk storage and Real Time clock/date!

Uses the SHIFT838 Real Time clock module as a upgrade to the original BQ4847.

Note for components: The Resistor Networks (R1, R2 and R3) have been changed in the components from a SOIC-14 to a SOIC-16 due to price and availability. The lead spacing is the same and since the resistors are isolated there is no issue. One resistor on the network will not be connected to anything.

Add a IDE hard disk controller to your TI-99/4A and Myarc Geneve 9640 computer. This is the originaly design by Thierry Nouspikel with the latest DSR loaded from Fred Kaal! Read more about Fred's DSR on his projects page HERE

Fred's DSR allows for IDE1 through IDE8 and support for Primary and Slave drives! Maximum of 260mb per partition per drive.

Proven compatibility with the IDE2CF card and IDE2SD card adapters for use with storage.

The card was assembled and tested on a real TI-99/4A. If you will be using on a GenMod Geneve then you will need to remove R10 and R11 resistors to make it compatible.

These are built to order so shipping is usually 7-10 working days after order. May be longer depending on the mfg time and shipping
